The push for sustainable construction practices is leading more and more cities to update building codes to require energy-efficient materials. Often known as “cool roof” or “white roof” policies, many places now require new roofs to have solar reflectivity values of 40% or higher. We developed Solaris Cool Roof shingles to meet some of the strictest building codes in the United States while still offering a full spectrum of shingle colors—not just white.
Solaris Cool Roof shingles are designed to comply with California Title 24, Part 6, Cool Roof requirements (per the California Energy Commission).
